PEERLESS BLANK FED PLATE & TRAY FORMING LINE FOR FOOD TRAYS AND OTHER

Peerless blank fed plate & tray forming line. Age approx. 1997. Serial # BF4-01-01. Was making food service trays. Takes die cut blanks, put in lifting / feeding section. Forming head section. Conveyor / stacker delivery section. Blank feed. Model BF57.5 gear driven variable speed 30-ton blank press. 4” stroke. Pressing service, 57.5” wide by 22” long. Angle of machine 35 degrees. Machine is intended to be used for either 1, 2, 3 or 4 dies of varying size and can run up to 30 strokes per minute. In the 2-wide configuration, blanks of 19.5” to 24” wide. In the 3-wide setup, blanks can be 7” to 13.5”. With 4 dies, the width can be 7.5” to 11.5”. The length of the blank should be less or equal to the width with the maximum length being 22”. Forming dies are designed with the male die mounted on the bottom. Blank feed system designed for 1, 2, 3 or 4 lane set up. Paper plate tray machine operation is controlled from the main operator console. Machine has Siemens Ready Panel. Temperature range settings are due to the many types of paper coatings, moisture content & inks. Top die, heat can be controlled. Bottom die, heat can be controlled & varied. Machine is based on crown blank fed forming. Maximum forming depth, typically 1.5”.Approx. weight, 28,000 lbs. Machine fits in high-cube container. Approx. $550,000 was spent on machine when purchased new. Set up on 480 volt, 60 cycle, 3 phase.
